6 months old-week 4

The boys are in their last week of being 6 months old and they are both sitting up on their own!
Alex seems to be trying to get his first tooth for Christmas this year and has been pretty fussy with teething. But the tooth still has not cut through the gums just yet. You can't even really see his gums here but there is a white shot on his bottom right side of his gums.
This week-end we celebrated Christmas with Pops and ReRe. The boys had a good time opening gifts and playing with cousin D and Ashton's toys!

This week we noticed that Alex has decided to start sucking his thumb. I'm not sure if this is just since he is teething more or if he is going to be a thumb sucker. I guess we will just have to wait and see.
Next week is Christmas week and the boys turn 7 months old!

6 months old-week 3

This week the boys had their 6 months check-up and shots. They did so much better this time around with the shots. They did run fever for a few days with the shots this time but they did not have the huge swollen, red knots on their thighs. They Boys are growing so well! Andrew now weighs 16#15oz and Alex 15#4oz! They are climbing up the growth chart beautifully in weight and height. They are still a little behind on head circumference, but she says that is nothing to worry about.

They also has their NICU follow up physical therapy appointment this week. Since they were born 8 weeks early they are expected to be on a 4 month old level right now but turns out they are on a 5-6 month old level! They are doing so well!
Andy is doing so much better sitting up this week. He can now sit up for a good amount of time and play.

At the beginning of the week Alex was not sitting up at all by himself. But by Thursday...he had started to sit up for a few seconds by himself!!
It won't be long and they will both be sitting up playing  together!

This week-end we celebrated Christmas with my Mom's side of the family and the boys got to open their first Christmas gifts! Alex was a little unsure of what to do but Andy enjoyed pulling the paper and trying to eat it of course!!

Sunday we decided to set up the lights and take Christmas pictures of the boys. This year I was on smile patrol and Tim gets all the credit for the pictures!! Hope you enjoy!

6 months old-week 2

The boys had a busy week this week. They got to take their 2nd trip to Vicksburg, Ms for the Unit Christmas party. The boys did really well on the way there and got fussy just as we got to Vicksburg. The way back we stopped in Monroe and saw Uncle Ben and Aunt Mer. The boys were defiantly ready to get home Sunday night. They played in their bouncers for a while. Almost as if they had missed them. Andrew has found his feet and is sitting up more and more every day. Alex has become a pig here lately and wants to eat all the time. (Must be trying to catch up with his brother) Alex is slowly starting to show the signs that he is ready to begin sitting up. He has started trying to sit up when you have in a rest position. It won't be long and he will have it down! Alex's gums are showing signs of a tooth coming through his gums. It shouldn't be long now. Here are some pictures from this week.
