10 Months- week 1

Andy and Alex are 10 months old now! They are drinking about 6-7oz at a time when they drink a bottle and are eating a lot more solids now. I have been doing some homemade baby food and they really enjoy that but they also LOVE to eat what you have on your plate as well. You would be surprised what these kids can eat without any teeth!! Speaking of Teeth, Andy still has just the 1 and Alex is working on his first one. Andrew will use a sippy cup most of the time during the day but always makes a huge mess when he does. Alex and the sippy cup is a work in progress. I finally found one that he will at least attempt to use. We will continue to introduce it more and more this month. Andrew is crawling and pulling up on everything. Alex sits up and plays on the floor and will stretch for anything he wants to play with. He loves to stand up and hold on to your hands and dance and jump.  Who knows he may just walk first! Both the boys are finally sleeping all the way through the night and not waking me up for passys or be rolled over. It is VERY nice! There has also been a few mornings that one or the other will sleep past 8am! To bad they never do it on the same morning so I can sleep in too!

Andy started pulling up on his bed this week. This is what I found when I went in one morning. So later that day I lowered his mattress. He seems to enjoy being in his bed a little more now.
Alex has been reaching for everything and avoiding crawling. He was sitting in the floor next to the toy and the next thing I knew is was starting to pull up and play. So when he does start crawling I'm in trouble!

9 months old-week 4

Happy St. Patty's Day!

This week the boys were sick again. Wed we ended up going to the Dr. and Andy still had a right ear infection and had to be put on the 3rd antibiotic. He weighed 20#15oz! Getting to be so big! Alex had a very bad viral infection and a lot of congestion. Since his cough was so bad she started him on an antibiotic as well.  He weighed in at 18# even. By Friday his cough was much worse and breathing treatments weren't helping the wheezing as much as before. He had begin to refuse to eat and even drink a bottle. So I put a call into the Dr and they wanted to see him Sat morning. Friday Night Daddy came home and spent the weekend with us. Alex had a temp of 103.2 that night so I was glad to go in Sat morning. Once again they did a blood count and it is completely viral, his lungs and ears were crystal clear. So after Sunday he started to feel much better!
This week Alex started clapping! It is so cute. He loves to clap when someone says "yay". Here is a video.

Andy has been crawling everywhere! And I do mean everywhere he can get to!
He also has been pulling up and standing for a few seconds without help, but that has only happened a few times.

The boys really enjoyed spending time with Daddy this weekend and we even went out to eat Mexican. They enjoyed the rice and beans and flour tortillas. We have been giving them more solids lately and they are enjoying it. This week they had cheerios, yogart, homemade Mac and Cheese and Alex went nuts over Ramen while big brother was napping! Something that I would have never thought he would have liked he fought me over!  Here are some pictures from this week. Next week the boys will be 10 months old!

Andy started Pulling up this week and even pulled up all the way to standing a few times.
And Andy also got his first tooth completely through the gums this week!
Alex and Andy really enjoyed seeing his Daddy this week. Here are some pictures from our visit.
After saying our goodbyes to Daddy who will be home in a few weeks we went to Kason's 1st Birthday Party. The boys had a great time eating hotdogs and Cheetos! The boys took turns sleeping through the party but while awake they had a good time! Alex decided to stay awake during cakes time and he grabbed a handful of chocolate cake and had it in his mouth before I could stop him! He LOVED it! I guess I know he will not have any problem digging in to his cake when the time comes! Here are some pictures from the party. Happy 1st Birthday Kason!!!

9 months old- week 2

Well at the beginning of the week Andy was working hard on crawling.

But later that day....

He finally moved his hands and knees at the same time! I was so excited just for that little bit I was almost in tears!! This week he continues to crawl for short periods like that and doesn't venture off far but I know it won't be long and I won't be able to stop him! Alex is still rocking on his hands and knees but still doesn't show much interest in crawling. He is still not holding his bottle 100% of the time but will hold it for small periods of time. Alex is my baby baby though so I'm not going to rush him. It won't be long and I'll be chasing them everywhere!
This week I took Andy to the doctor. He was very fussy and not acting like himself. Once we got in the office I saw the beginning stages of a tooth starting to break through. Since we were there I stayed and turns out he had another beginning stages of a right ear infection. So it was another 10 days worth of antibiotics...  He weighed 20#3oz! Who would have thought he was a preemie?!?
The boys have started to play with each other some. They were rolling the ball back and forth some so I tried to catch it in video. this is what I got....

This weekend we went to the Highland Parade in Shreveport and the boys seemed to have some fun.
When we got home I poured everything we caught on the floor and let the boys play, they had a good time!
