8 months old-week 4

Last week of being 8 months and not doing much new this week. Daddy left for training this week and the boys were back to readjusting to their routine. This week I decided to try making homemade baby food for them to have some extra meals to eat rather than just fruits and veggies. I also gave the boys some cheese grits for breakfast one morning which turned out to be a bad thing for Alex. He started breaking out in hives! I felt so bad!

This week I also got the boys the next carseat up. I decided in install one for Andrew and let Alex continue in his infant seat for a little longer because he still had some room!

Here is a video of Aunt Shirlee playing with the boys on the floor

8 months old-week 3

This week went a little better than last! The boys were acting like they felt better! On Tuesday the home health nurse cam by to weigh the boys and set a time for their RSV shots. She listened to Andy and heard a lot of rattling and advised us to go be seen and make sure the pneumonia was getting better and not worse. So off to the doctor we went AGAIN. The doctor said that he chest was clear and not to worry about that but his right ear was still very infected so he gave us another 10 days of antibiotics and rotating tylenol and motrin for pain relief. In just a day or 2 he was feeling so much better!
I found some actually teething biscuits this week and decided to see how the boys would do. Alex is still not very interested in holding things and putting them in his mouth (unless its toys). Andy loved his! I'm sure you will be able to tell in this video!

On Wednesday night Tim came home to spend a week with us! The boys were asleep so they didn't see him until Thursday morning. I got the video camera and caught the boys reactions to him this time. Andy was asleep and we woke him up. At first he was still very sleepy and ussure but after a quick diaper change he warmed right back up to his daddy! Here you go!

After packing up and getting things done on Thursday we went out to eat with Khara, Ryan and Symon at Kobe! The boys had never been there before and I really thought they would scream when the cook started but I was wrong....They seemed to enjoy it! Alex actually LOVED it and was laughing at the cook that was on the other side of our table. :)

Friday we headed out to Jackson, MS for the Yellow Ribbon event put on by the Military. Joyce drove to meet us and keep the babies while Tim and I was in class all day. This week-end both of the boys did something new! Alex is now holding his bottle!http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lq6MyeCDACs
Andy was in the crawling position and went to a sitting position twice! But once I got the camera out he wouldn't do it again. He has only done it one more time since then so far so I will working on trying to catch that! But Momma, Daddy and Gamma saw it!!

8 Months Old-week 2

What a week! The boys were wearing their Steelers Championship onesies for the Superbowl! This weekend we went to visit Daddy! We left on Thursday and came back on Saturday. The boys seemed to enjoy their time with Daddy but were also starting to get a cold. So Saturday we packed up and headed home.  After Sunday the week seemed to go down from there....Alex seemed to be rattling in his chest and his wheezing was getting bad so on Tuesday I took him in to the doctor. He seemed to have an upper respiratory infection and we changed some of his breathing treatment medications. These seem to be working well. On Thurday Andrews rattling became awful and he had a horrible cough. You could tell that he was feeling pretty bad because he was not smiling at all this week. So, off to the Dr went again.....This time I decided to just bring both babies in and be sure that Alex was sounding better too. So Alex weighed in at 17#3oz and Andy at 19#! We had RSV test, Chest x-rays and lab work done. Alex was getting better and his chest x-ray was clear. Andy however was one sick baby, double ear infection, bronchitis, and a touch of pneumonia. And to think he was not running any fever and I almost didn't take him in. So antibiotics all around. So we only got a few pictures from this week since we were not feeling very well.

This sums up our week....they cried all the time because they didn't feel well at all. The song "cry baby...." played in my head all week. LOL
Believe it or not it snowed again this week in Shreveport! The boys were to sick to get pictures taken in it this time.
They were so upset when they couldn't go play! Lol
Here is a video of the snow!
